Matthew McClure

Matthew McClure serves as a crew chief, bringing years of experience and long-standing involvement in rally to the role. His connection to the sport dates back to 2002, when he first participated as a road marshall, and over the years rally has remained a constant part of his life. Based in Oregon, Matthew is a shop foreman at Accolade Auto, a background that supports his hands-on role within a rally team.

For Matthew, rally is driven by excitement and nostalgia, as well as the sense of belonging that comes from the rally family. One of his standout memories includes having the car stall at a water splash, a moment that captures both the unpredictability and excitement of the sport. Alongside stage rally involvement, Matthew also participates in rallycross, continuing to stay connected to the broader rally community.

At a rally, the crew chief is responsible for coordinating the team that supports the car throughout the event. This includes organizing service work, managing time between stages, communicating priorities to the crew, and helping ensure the car is ready and safe for competition.
